Our congress 2022 is postponed
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the postponement of our International Scientific and Clinical Congress on Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which was due to take place between 9th & 11th February 2022 in Barcelona.
We know that this will come as a disappointment, not only to the scientific and clinical community and industry professionals who were due to attend the congress, but also to patient advocates.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly and there are two overriding concerns that have caused us to make this decision at this time. First is the uncertainty caused by the new COVID variant, Omicron, with some countries already putting restrictions in place. This development makes the probability of factors outside our control forcing us to cancel the congress at the last minute much higher. Second, our primary concern is always the responsibility we feel towards our stakeholders and our community.
We are currently in talks to find new dates and hope to be able to come back to you with news on that very soon.
